⚡ Anonymous · zero-trace · 18+

1 on 1 private video chat. Two browsers, one room, zero trace.

The cleanest possible private chat room: WebRTC between two browsers, no recording, no audience, no replay link. Confirm you are 18+, hit go, the room exists only as long as both of you stay in it. Close the tab — there is nothing left.

What we never store

Six things that never reach disk.

"Anonymous video chat" means little unless you can list what stays inside the conversation. Here is the exact list. If a future version changes it, this page changes with it.

Your video feed

WebRTC routes the stream between browsers — we do not save the frames.

Your microphone audio

Same WebRTC route. The audio packets are not persisted on our servers.

Your chat transcript

Text messages are buffered to the other side, not written to a database.

Your real name

There is no field for it. There is no profile to fill.

Your email or phone

Sign-up is optional, anonymous, and never asked for during normal chat.

Your IP across sessions

We do not tie an IP to a long-lived account. Close the tab — there is no thread.

Room controls · glossary

Every control, plainly — and where it lives.

Consent-first chat is mostly a UI question — which buttons are visible, where they are, and what they actually do. Here is the whole control surface.

Skip
Ends the current room and matches you with the next stranger who matches your filters. The other side is informed the room ended — they do not see why.
Block
On the other person's profile, not in the room. Once you block someone, they will not be matched with you again.
Mute
Cuts their incoming audio while keeping the cam visible. Useful if a room is mostly fine but you do not want to hear the room they are in.
Cam mask
Covers your picture mid-room without ending the conversation — the camera keeps running, so this hides the view rather than switching the camera off. Tap again to uncover.
Mic off
Mutes your microphone. The cam can stay on while you go silent. Pair with text input to chat without talking.
End
Ends the room with no replacement queued — useful when you want to step away rather than keep matching.
Report
On the other person's profile. Opens a short form — up to three reasons, a description, and up to three photos as evidence. Both automated review and a human queue exist.
Privacy — the unromantic answers

Private video chat — under the hood.

  • Three things together: the room only ever has two people in it (no audience, no observer mode), the WebRTC video and audio flow directly between the two browsers, and we do not persist the media on our servers. The combination is what we mean by "private 1-on-1".

  • Nothing is recorded on our side — not the video, not the audio, not the chat. What no service anywhere can prevent is someone pointing a second device at their own screen. So treat a room the way you would treat a call with anyone you have just met: assume a capture is physically possible at the far end and share accordingly. If it happens, block and report from their profile.

  • They overlap heavily but the emphasis differs. Anonymous means we do not know who you are (no email, no name, no profile). Private means the room is just two people, no recording, no audience. Most users want both — XVideoChat ships both by default.

  • Those are the two things that outlive the room, and both are on the other person's profile rather than in it. Once you block someone, they will not be matched with you again. Report writes a short flag (timestamp, anonymized ids, reason code) to moderation. The video itself is never stored.

  • No. There is no observer mode, no screen-share to other users, no replay link. The two browsers in the room are the only places the video appears.

  • Two things: the 18+ confirmation is required before the first frame paints, and the in-room controls (skip / mute / cam mask / end) are visible at all times — never buried in a menu, with block and report on the other person's profile. Leaving never takes more than one tap.

  • Yes. WebRTC and our signaling work through standard VPNs and through privacy modes (Firefox private windows, Brave private tabs, Safari private browsing). The age-gate confirmation is per-device — private mode will ask again next time, which is fine.

  • The room media — video, audio and chat — is not stored on our servers; WebRTC routes it between the two browsers. What is retained is a thin, non-video layer: basic operational logs, any credit or payment events if you top up, and a short report flag (timestamp, anonymized ids, reason code) when someone reports a room. We are deliberate about saying the room is not recorded rather than "nothing is stored", because the second claim would not be true for any real service.

  • Yes. No sign-up is required to start a 1-on-1 room — no email, no name, no profile. An account is optional and never asked for during normal chat, which is what keeps the room anonymous and private at the same time.

The cleanest 1-on-1 room for grown-ups.
